Note this is a five-restaurant chain and so don't expect the care one finds when an owner is on site. Over all, we were left with a feeling of what might have been with a touch more generosity or creativity, but ha a decent meal. Conversely, the tempura oyster mushrooms were quite intriguing, and the use of something other than button mushrooms a welcome change. In these days, when spouts are on a lot of menus, you need to do better than that. Although the Brussels Sprouts were well prepared, they had no particular hook and there simply weren't that many. The "not enough food" theme returned with the starters/sides. The poutine burger was also good, and the gravy was savory and not bland as can so often be the case. We particularly enjoyed the three pepper bomb burger, which did not shy away from stong, bold flavors. That said, they offer some very interesting topping combinations. In fact, it is a bit smaller than it should be, with the result we were not filled at the end of the meal. As a result, the burger to bun ratio is off and the burger, frankly looks small on the plate when it arrives. We hope to have an opportunity to better your experience should you change your mind and choose to stay with us at some future time.My primary problem with this restaurant is that the prices are a bit high and the burger is not a half pounder. I was particularly disappointed to read that your perception was that our staff were just ‘going through the motions’ as this is so contrary to the welcoming and ‘can do’ attitude we try to foster in all our team. I do regret that our food did not meet your expectations. Your comments in relation to our food have been noted. True, due to our location we are dependent on timeliness of deliveries, however the toweling should have been replenished in the afternoon and I’m sorry this was not the case. Please accept my apology for the lack of replenishment of toweling and the unavailability of lime/lemon. I truly regret that we did not meet your expectations during your recent stay. The Spa feedback you have shared we have taken on board and discussed with the Spa team. We apologise for the inconvenience this caused, and will look into having more advertising around the resort so our guests are aware we can arrange coconuts for them when they wish. In regards to the coconuts on the island, we stock the coconuts fresh from the trees in our Pantry so that guests can enjoy them chilled rather than warm, straight from the tree. We apologise if you received the impression that the buffet was compulsory as we do understand that, even though our buffets are extremely well received, some of our guests prefer a la carte. The a la carte menu at Flying Fish, as well as the snack menu at our Sala Bar are both always available, even on buffet nights. The Reef Bistro is closed three nights a week and on these nights we offer the Buffet at Flying Fish as an additional dining option. I was sorry to hear that the variety did not meet your satisfaction. We do provide crustaceans when available and the two restaurants that we have at the resort both offer their own individually crafted menus, with additional specials on different evenings. Your feedback regarding beach access from your room is well taken and we have plans in place to add to the access points currently available. We are glad you enjoyed the comforts of your Beachfront Retreat, however it was regrettable to read that you found the plunge pool to be too small.
